My mom's birthday card. Her birthday is on 24 December. :3
I had a great idea last night before falling asleep, so I had to draw this sweet scene. It's a mother sparrow coming back to the nest to feed her 2 chicks (supposed to be my sis and I). Man, baby birds are ugly at first... I was trying to figure out an OC4Plus brush that would be easier to use than my old beveled one. Then I added a paper texture (that doesn't show up very well on the resized version). I added a haiku (in English because I can't speak/read Chinese) the way I remember being taught it briefly in primary school. And I wanted to represent the wintry feel so I added a bare pine. Ahaha, finally, an original piece from me. XD |
